As the sun sets behind the trees and the early evening mist starts to form, there is a wonderful eerie, almost red glow that starts to wrap around the woodland, casting its aura onto the fields and surrounding area.
Original oil on stretched canvas with 24K Goldleaf which bounces light off the canvas almost making the landscape look real. This piece is already framed in a distressed grey and gold floater frame.
Evening glow was painted from a photo taken on my many walks around High Elms, North Kent area.
