SELKIE - 20th August at 10.30am

SUMMER ART CAMP for 5-10 year olds.
During Mythological Week, our young artists will explore Scottish folklore by learning about the Selkie, a shapeshifter that can transform between human and seal and is a cousin of the mermaid. Using a stencil, the children will draw the outline of the Selkie, then design the face, the tail, and colour her in vivid hues, finally giving her a unique sea folk name. This class encourages creative thinking and enhances fine motor skills
 
Our class is 2 hours long, from 10.30am through to 12.30pm.  We have a break halfway through so please make sure your child brings a small snack and juice.  
 
We have a maximum capacity of 8 participants to ensure that each child receives the attention and guidance they need.
 
Our Art Cabin is situated down a flight of stone steps which may prove difficult for those with mobility issues, and sadly we cannot accomodate those in wheelchairs.
 
Sara our tutor is registered with the Out of School Alliance, and has an enhanced DBS.  She has been teaching both children and adults for a number of years.
